As a part of the Open Vineyard Data Model project, the workshop helped looked into the topic of : "Vines and Mines" and focused on the questions: 

- Do drill holes and their sampling intervals have similarities to vine rows?

- What does typical logical data model in geology look like? How does it compare to something we might use in viticulture?

- What can grape growers learn from how drill projects are aproached?

- A 30 year evolution of data management in mining, how does viticulture compare and what can be learnt?
